Mic can be an electret mic type, the Mic. pin is providing mic bias voltage, thus standard electret microphones as thosed used in a PC can be connected with the use of an OMTP splitter cable. Mic input is a 'Consumer Audio' mic level, -30dBu, 10K. On the same connector, Left & Right pins provide 'Consumer Audio' line-level audio output, -10dBV, 600Ohm to drive either headphones or active speakers.
